Mickie James responds to Stephanie McMahon's apology

Mickie James has issued a response to Stephanie McMahon's apology after James posted a photo of a trash bag with her belongings that was sent to her by WWE.

The blame is being placed on Mark Carrano and he was released by WWE but others who have worked in the company have shared similar stories that pre-date Carrano's time in the company.

James tweeted this response to McMahon: "Thank you Stephanie. I appreciate that as I am equally embarrassed. I know this wasn’t a malicious act. However it did feel very symbolic to how I was presented in the last 3 years."

Some of the WWE creative for James has been questionable and downright offensive. During her first run in the company over a decade ago, the company ran a storyline that featured women making fun of her weight, and, at one point, she was referred to as "Piggy James."

In 2017, Alexa Bliss was scripted to try to get under James' skin by insulting her age. James was 38 years old at the time.
