The Miz: Bad Bunny ‘Wanted To Do Something Special’ In WWE Debut Match

The Miz has high praise for Bad Bunny’s dedication to WWE, citing his work ethic and willingness to take risks. The recording artist teamed with Damian Priest to defeat The Miz and John Morrison at WrestleMania 37.

Speaking on Six Feet Under, The Miz recalled Bad Bunny’s commitment to training, noting that he was always in the ring early.

“Every time I would come to the show, he was there early in the ring. I love that. And he would be practicing,” Miz said. “He wanted to do something special. He wanted to do something great. I remember they were teaching him. He wanted to learn, like, lock-ups and headlocks. And I was like, ‘Dude, I’m not doing any of that.’ Everyone out of the ring, I just gave him heat for like 15 minutes, and I go sell this, because this is what you’re going to be doing a lot of.”

Spray Painting The Bugatti

Miz also shared a story about the storyline involving Bad Bunny’s expensive car. He revealed that it was Bad Bunny’s idea to use real spray paint on the vehicle.

“He let us, like, spray paint his $500,000 car, real spray paint. And it was his idea,” Miz said. “He says, ‘no, no, you use spray painted.’ And I go, ‘Dude, you do.’ He goes, ‘we’ll have someone wash it afterwards.’ I go, ‘it might not come off.’ He goes, ‘I’m gonna be all right.’ I be like, Oh my God, this guy, this guy’s in. It’s in. So me and Morrison spray paint this $500,000 [car]. I think it was like a Bugatti.”

Miz emphasized that they didn’t want to hide the celebrity in the match, but rather showcase him.

“I feel like a lot of times celebrities, we hide them, you know, we hide their flaws, whatever I was like, ‘We’re not hiding you. If you are literally going to be doing the entire intro, you’re going to be involved in every aspect of this match, because no one will expect it.’”
