An unusual situation happened at last week’s AEW Dynamite event in Long Island as security for UBS Arena allowed a fan, who was posing as an extra talent, backstage.
Fightful Select reported the details of this situation today. The fan went into the locker room and sat in Dax Harwood’s seat before being informed of this so he apologized and explained that he was an extra. He moved over to a seat that belonged to The Blade of Hardy Family Office.
Once this happened, it became evident to the wrestlers that something was off so they started asking questions to the person, who was putting on armbands. They asked who trained him and he stated Jeff Hardy. The only problem with that is Hardy doesn’t train wrestlers. The person also couldn’t correctly name who booked him as an extra and cited a name that doesn’t do that job.
This led to MJF and Harwood ejecting the fan from the locker room and taking the person to someone who worked for AEW that recalled how the same fan had been kicked out of an AEW Boston show in October.
The fan also claimed to be a friend of Taz’s, but that was clearly not true. It was noted there was no heat on AEW’s security for letting the fan backstage because this wasn’t their responsibility considering the UBS building security was supposed to be handling these types of things on this night.
