MJF has given high praise to the current state of the AEWmain event scene, calling it the strongest in the promotion’s history. As the current AEW World Champion, MJF is at the center of a crowded field of top-tier contenders, including “Hangman” Adam Page, Brody King, Andrade El Idolo, Swerve Strickland, and Kenny Omega.
In an interview with Self Made Pro released on February 24, 2026, MJF addressed the depth of the roster and his role as the benchmark for the company. Despite his often arrogant persona, the “Wolf of Wrestling” acknowledged the caliber of talent currently vying for the “Triple B.”
“We are up year-over-year in ticket sales by a wide margin. We’re up year-over-year in ratings by a wide margin. We’ve got more momentum than we’ve had in years. I don’t think it’s an unfair thing for me to say. It’s all because of me. And I don’t think it’s an unfair thing for me to say right now, point blank, and I know you three are big fans of All Elite Wrestling since day one. I’ve been a part of the company since day one. This is not hyperbolic. This is the best the main event scene has ever been in the history of the company.”
The landscape of the AEW World Title picture has been volatile in recent weeks. MJF recently survived a major scare at Grand Slam Australia earlier this month, where he successfully defended his title against Brody King. King had earned that opportunity by pinning MJF in a non-title eliminator match on the February 4 episode of Dynamite.
The focus has now shifted toward the Revolution pay-per-view, scheduled for March 15, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. MJF is set to defend his championship against his long-time rival, “Hangman” Adam Page. The stakes for the encounter are massive as during the February 18 episode of Dynamite, Page agreed to a stipulation where if he loses to MJF at the event, he will never be allowed to challenge for the AEW World Championship again.
