Following this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, speculation has run rampant regarding the identity of a new “mystery man” who appeared on the show. While a previous masked assailant was revealed or strongly implied to be Austin Theory, this second individual sparked a different wave of online detective work.
Fans on social media began analyzing physical attributes of the performer to deduce their identity. Specifically, a large contingent of viewers became convinced that the mystery attacker was WWE Superstar Montez Ford, basing their theory primarily on the wrestler’s physique and glutes.
Alvarez Shuts It Down
On today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez addressed these rumors directly. While admitting he does not yet know the true identity of the assailant, he was able to definitively rule out one specific name.
“Monday, another mystery man showed up, and it was not Austin Theory,” Alvarez said. “Now, if you go on social media, I swear to God, everybody was trying to figure out who the new mystery man was, based on his butt, yes, and everybody concluded that the new mystery man was Montez Ford”.
Alvarez cited his sources to debunk the theory entirely.
“I could tell you right now that I don’t know who the mystery man was on Monday, but was told specifically it was not Montez Ford,” Alvarez stated.
He concluded the segment with a message to the internet sleuths: “So those of you that have been investigating the butt of the mystery man, you got the wrong butt so try again”.
