Ricochet was someone plenty of fans were waiting to see get a real shot in WWE. In yet another example of good things come to those who wait, King Ricochet debuted in NXT and had his first TakeOver match in New Orleans. Although he might not have won the multi-man ladder match for the NXT North American Title he still turned plenty of heads in the process.

Fans in Paris were very excited to see Ricochet tag with Johnny Gargano the other night but it looks like a bad bump might have changed the match a little bit. Ricochet missed a suicide dive and took a brunt of the impact on his chest. The referee threw up the dreaded "X" hand sign and Ricochet was assisted to the back leaving some fans worried that he might miss his next TakeOver match.

Ricochet is set to battle Velveteen Dream at NXT TakeOver: Chicago on Saturday and fans are chomping at the bit to see this match go down. If there is going to be a match at TakeOver that has a chance of rivaling anything that happened during New Japan Pro Wrestling's Dominion show it belongs to Ricochet vs Dream.

During the TakeOver conference call, Triple H noted how Ricochet "tweaked his shoulder a little bit" during his tag team match in Paris but it seems like The One And Only will be okay. If you've watched enough of Ricochet's matches you've seen him take a bad bump before. Thankfully, this was something that won't be causing them to cancel his upcoming match against Velveteen Dream at NXT TakeOver: Chicago.
