As noted earlier, WWE has signed Mada Abdelhamid and Daria Berenato. Berenato was a former amateur MMA fighter. She also co-hosted “UFC AfterBuzz” on Maria Menounous’ streaming network. It had been expected for a while that she would be signed by the company because they like the association with Menounous and they like the idea of having a woman that is open about being a lesbian because they like having diversity in the company. It also gets the company good backing politically, similar to Liz Carmouche in UFC. Berenato, Abdelhamid and Patrick Clark reported to the WWE Performance Center this week.
Amanda Saccomanno (now known as Mandy) may have gotten a nice deal because she’s going to be on the upcoming season of “Total Divas.” Tough Enough winners Josh Bredl and Sara Lee got $250,000 and one year contracts. The word on Bredl is that he is doing really well and gets along with everyone. He came off as a nice guy on Tough Enough so that is not a surprise.
It will be interesting to see what happens in one year since it’s pretty much a guarantee that Lee and Bredl won’t be getting anything near $250,000 for a second year.
