More on Shane McMahon’s release from WWE, issue with Bad Bunny’s Royal Rumble spot may have been a factor

There are some more details on Shane McMahon’s departure from WWE and what may have led to the decision.

Andrew Zarian is reporting that there were numerous changes to what number Bad Bunny would be in the match and it was said to be a cause of concern with people in WWE because they don’t want to come across negatively with such a major outside star.

As previously noted, there are numerous reports about Shane McMahon being very confrontational backstage as he was in charge of the Men’s Rumble this year. His way of handling things reportedly rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and there was a lot of heat on him. Along with the issues with Shane, some said that the reason why the Rumble felt different this year is that Triple H and Tyson Kidd were not there to handle the producing duties.

Ringside News reported today that Shane has been quietly let go by the company. We’ll post updates on this situation when we hear more.
