More on The Horsewomen and WWE; What WWE told Ronda Rousey

Wrestling Observer’s Mike Sempervive has an ongoing thread on the Wrestling Observer forum (visit to subscribe and check it out) with unsolicited addendum’s from people that work in WWE. They are basically thoughts, opinions, and musings on things that have reported or questions to things asked online. You can only find stuff like this on the Observer site so I’d highly recommend that you at least give them a try for a month. Below are some of the things sent in to Sempervive.

Here's an update on the Horsewomen (led by Ronda Rousey) and WWE. Earlier this year Natalya and Shayna Baszler were tweeting obvious angles to get something done for SummerSlam. WWE considered it for about two weeks. Once the company was told that Ronda couldn't do it then they dropped the idea. Ronda Rousay, Shayna Baszler, and Jessamyn Duke are under UFC deals and Dana White would not let them do anything physical outside of UFC. WWE didn't underswtand why but the feeling was that the four women were not fighting for and it was basically something WWE wanted but UFC said no.

The women made a big impression backstage and were the most popular celebrites there. It was made clear though that if UFC ever changed their mind then Ronda would be welcomed back in WWE anytime. The women didn't need UFC's permission to attend a WWE show and they were talking about going the week before the show.
