More on the passing of “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes

Obviously, the passing of Dusty Rhodes came as a shock to me and a lot of people. Dave Meltzer did a breaking news audio update today and noted that Dusty seemed to be in good health yesterday and it wasn’t like he was sick from anything. He had dropped a lot of weight in the last couple of years but that was said to be something he chose to do so he could get in better shape.

There aren’t many details available right now but the early word is that he had a fall at his house this morning and his kidneys began to shut down and he started to get dehydrated.

WWE was filming Tough Enough today at the Performance Center but that was shut down when the news of Dusty’s passing got out. Everyone is said to be devastated by this news and I would expect to see a tribute to Dusty on Raw this Monday.

Dusty worked with many of the talents at NXT and I haven’t heard anyone there say a bad thing about him while he was there.
