More on the recent firing of a top WWE executive

Lisa Lee Fox, the executive who was fired this past week was working as the Executive Vice President of Content. She had worked for the company for almost 20 years. She headed up the writing team and she was of the main people in charge of the WWE Network and WWE TV.

There is no official confirmation on why she is gone from the company but it should be noted that she was the main person in charge of handling the acquisition of Paul Boesch’s Houston Wrestling tape library. The deal fell through and Bruce Tharpe told Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer radio that the offer from WWE was a low ball figure.

That led to Tharpe starting up the NWAClassics.com on demand service this week. The last thing WWE wants is to have another company running their own streaming service with major names from the past. The NWA Classics service features progressive stretched technology that fills up the screen so you are getting very good quality (and rare) footage of matches featuring names like Ric Flair, Harley Race, Bruiser Brody and many others.
