As noted, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson wrapped up filming his scenes for Fast 8 this week. Johnson, who usually doesn’t post anything negative about his co-stars, took a shot at Vin Diesel on Instagram. Rock and Diesel had a private meeting earlier this week to work out the problems between the two, but their issues remain unresolved.
TMZ is reporting that the crew of Fast 8 is siding with The Rock as the crew agrees with The Rock, who had an issue with Diesel’s work ethic. Diesel has often been 30 minutes to an hour late to shoot scenes because he stays in his trailer and doesn’t want to come out to shoot. Also, production meetings are scheduled at 7:00 am but had been pushed back to 10:00 am to accommodate Diesel. The crew felt Vin’s arrogance was out of control because he is a producer for the film. Also, Diesel wouldn’t listen to anyone and would talk down to people, including The Rock, by criticizing their acting. The crew sees The Rock as the ultimate professional who is always on time and nails his scenes.
The Rock commented on his recent drama with Diesel via Instagram:
“…With any team – that’s a family – there’s gonna be conflict. Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs. To me, conflict can be a good thing, when its followed by great resolution. I was raised on healthy conflict and welcome it. And like any family, we get better from it. At the end of the day me and #F8 co-stars all agree on the most important thing: Delivering an incredible movie to the world.”
