WWE also made more office cuts this week. Fightful reports the cuts weren’t done as a way to reduce the number of employees they have, but rather the roles the people who were let go will be filled with new hires.
Laura Petrucelli, who worked for the company for over nine years, was let go after being WWE's Vice President of Branding. She managed a $13M budget annually.
John Stamatis had been working as the SVP of Global Marketing and Sales Strategy for over four years. Before that, he had been in the marketing departments for the NBA, Pepsi, and other companies. He has been in that line of work for nearly 30 years.
Laura Todd was the Vice President of Partnership Marketing since October 2007 and spent over 14 years with the company.
Finally, Mike Giacco was let go. He's best known to fans as the employee who won the WWE 24/7 Championship in 2019 only to lose it to R-Truth.
As noted, Stan Stanski was let go from the company. With Stanski's departure, his exit was described by someone in WWE as so shocking that it was “the ultimate proof no one is safe” and that this is “another reminder this isn’t the same company it was a year ago.”
