The release of WWE timekeeper Mark Yeaton last week was a bigger story within WWE than the firing of Alberto Del Rio. People that have been in the company for a long time were absolutely shocked at his release. As noted before, Yeaton did a lot of other things for the company since he started in 1984.
Yeaton was said to be a model employee that never caused any problems. You might remember Yeaton being superkicked by Shawn Michaels in the Iron Man match with Bret Hart at WrestleMania 12.
The company also released Senior Vice President of Creative Eddie Feldman and other members of the creative team. The creative staff had apparently become bloated with more than two dozen people on the team. Feldman was reporting to Triple H directly and most in that position last less than a year. Paul Napoli and Kevin Eck were also let go this week.
