WWE is expected to announce additional WWE ID signings in the near future, according to a new report. The company confirmed last weekend that Jariel Rivera had joined the program, marking the latest addition to the growing developmental initiative. Fightful is reporting that several women have already been signed through the program, though the identities of these talents—and the total number of new signings—remain under wraps for now.
WWE first introduced the WWE ID program in October 2024 as a strategic way to bring independent wrestlers under contract while allowing them to continue performing on the indie circuit. Participants receive access to WWE’s resources and training while gaining experience outside the company. Several prominent wrestling schools are currently affiliated with the program, including Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling and Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall’s Nightmare Factory.
The women’s division of the initiative has seen movement recently, with Laynie Luck currently holding the WWE ID Women’s Championship. Luck captured the vacant title in November, a victory that also earned her a formal WWE ID contract. The title was originally held by inaugural champion Kylie Rae, who vacated the belt in September after announcing her pregnancy.
Wrestlers signed through the initiative have already begun making their presence felt across the industry, including appearances on WWE EVOLVE. This hybrid contract model allows WWE to monitor independent talent while they build their brands in front of diverse audiences. As the program expands, it is becoming a primary pipeline for future NXT and main roster stars.
