The Motor City Machine Guns are having some fun with their WWE exits, and dangling a hint about where they land next.
Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin were part of the WWE roster cuts revealed in April. On Thursday, the pair posted a video to their YouTube channel in which Shelley walks Sabin through the five stages of grief, though the video never comes out and says what Sabin is grieving, as F4W/WON reported.
The bit builds to the two opening a package of what they present as contract offers from wrestling promotions, running through envelopes seemingly from FMW, CyberFight, WAR, IWA Mid-South and others before Sabin finds one at the bottom of the pile that gets him excited. Shelley tells him he has reached acceptance. The video never shows which promotion sent it.
Shelley and Sabin signing with WWE was first reported in September 2024, and they won the WWE Tag Team Championship on the October 25 edition of SmackDown barely a month later.
As for the offer at the bottom of the package, Fightful Select reported in late April that the Motor City Machine Guns were expected to eventually sign with AEW.
