Despite a career with significant highs and lows, Mr. Kennedy has no immediate plans to hang up his wrestling boots. Speaking on “Insight With Chris Van Vliet,” Kennedy expressed his intention to continue wrestling for the foreseeable future.
“I don’t know how long, but I’m going to go until the wheels fall off,” he declared, clarifying, “I mean, not like, ‘Hey, you should have retired 15 years ago…’ wheels fall off, but I still feel like I have some juice.”
This marks a significant shift from a sentiment he expressed during his time in TNA. “Somebody asked me in an interview, and I was like, ‘If I’m still doing this in five years, somebody shoot me.’ I kind of look back on that, and I just like, I can’t believe I said something like that,” Kennedy reflected, admitting he had a “really bad attitude” and had “soured” on the business at that point.
