There is more confirmation coming on on Sasha Banks and she is indeed gone from WWE.
Wrestling Inc’s Raj Giri broke the news about her release and it has since been confirmed by WrestleVotes, via multiple sources in WWE.
There had been some doubt about the story among some fans on social media because WWE had not made a statement and she is still listed on the WWE.com roster page. Banks reportedly had her lawyers involved to get her release and it seems as if she got what she wanted. There is no word on what Naomi’s status is with the company.
If there is a 90-day non-compete then it means that Banks would become a free agent in September. She would be free to wrestle again just in time for AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, if she indeed signs with them. However, there is no guarantee that she wants to wrestle right now, especially if she has options in Hollywood.
The word backstage from SmackDown tonight is that the report from @TheRajGiri is indeed accurate according to multiple sources.
Sasha Banks has been released from her WWE contract.
