MVP is making his first steps towards entering a post-WWE world as he made a surprise appearance at Bloodsport XI on Sunday following Josh Barnett’s match against Bad Dude Tito.
It was previously reported that MVP and Bobby Lashley are slated to leave WWE when their deals are up, sometime in August, with the idea of reforming the Hurt Business stable with Shelton Benjamin, possibly in AEW.
MVP rarely appears on WWE television. His last appearance came on SmackDown before WrestleMania 40 when he walked Omos to the ring for a battle royal. Now, he has his sights set on Barnett.
During the appearance, MVP said that his contract with a company he wouldn’t mention is about to expire. He’s not going back, and he has things he wants to do before retiring.
MVP challenged Barnett, who said that MVP didn’t have to ask and that he’s welcome to come in on his own or with a posse.
