The WWE pay-per-view that will emanate from Atlanta, Georgia on New Year’s Day will be called WWE DAY 1.
WWE made the announcement about this show during the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami, Florida. Tickets for WWE DAY 1 at the State Farm Arena will go on sale this Friday at 10 am eastern. The DAY 1 show might be the reason why there’s been talk of moving the Royal Rumble pay-per-view to early February.
WWE held New Year’s themed shows before with New Year’s Revolution happening in early January but this would be the first time they’ve done a pay-per-view event on New Year’s Day.
WWE plans to air SmackDown on New Year’s Eve from Charlotte, NC.
