Natayla and Tyson Kidd talk Hart family dysfunction, Dynamite Kid, Bret, Shawn, more

Tyson Kidd and Natalya are the guests on the latest “Talk Is Jericho” podcast. Natalya is a returning guest to the show and she was the first person from WWE that Jericho wanted when WWE asked him to give them a list of names that he wanted on the show.

There are tons of Hart family stories including one about Stu Hart cooking and, at one point, picking up cat poop with the spatula and throwing it in the trash. Stu would then continue using the spatula to continue cooking. Yes, that was talked about.

They also revealed why Dynamite Kid and Davey Boy Smith did not speak again after 1990. Basically, the story is that Dynamite and Davey were wrestling in Japan (after being fired from the WWF) and Vince asked them to return to the company. Dynamite refused but Davey decided to go back. Tyson Kidd also noted that Davey trademarked the “British Bulldog” name so that also added to the heat between the two.

They also discussed Bret Hart’s match against Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 26. It was the first time that the entire family was together since Stu Hart’s funeral in 2003. The major family issues had started after the passing of Owen. Apparently, members of the family caused drama in the days leading up to the show. There was one story told about Allison telling off John Laurinaitis because she didn’t feel that she should have to pay for her own food.

There was another story about Bruce Hart on the day of the show trying to get things changed and when it was time for him to go through the curtain he didn’t have his jacket on. The jacket was supposed to hide that he had a referee shirt on so at the very last minute Triple H had to get Billy Kidman’s jacket and put it on Bruce before he walked out. One of Bruce’s ideas was to have Batista involved in the match. Michael Hayes replied back with, “Batista’s got king of a big match tonight.” Batista was the headliner against John Cena. Bret got tired of Bruce interrupting with his ideas and finally told him to shut up.

Tyson also reveals the details on what led up to Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels patching things up. It turns out that Tyson was the one that got them to talk to each other again even though Bret wasn’t so sure if he could trust Shawn.

It’s a great podcast and worth listening to. You can listen now by clicking here.
