The Rock’s “Red Notice” movie was such a big success that Netflix isn’t just looking to do another movie, they’re planning two more films.
Deadline reported today that Netflix is in the early stages of planning on shooting back-to-back sequels that will make it a franchise. They’re hoping to go into production in early 2023 depending on the schedules and deals with the stars of the films.
The first movie came out last November on the streaming service after getting a limited theatrical release. It smashed some records for Netflix including the most-watched film in its first 28 days of release on the platform.
The film was the most expensive movie that Netflix has produced to date. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot starred in the film. Check out the trailer here:
