We’ve gotten several emails from readers asking us about the rumors going around regarding Neville. Specifically, the rumor is that Neville requested his release on Monday and that is why plans for the main event were changed.
As we reported earlier, the original plan was for Neville to face Enzo Amore but, at some point before Raw (or during the show), plans were changed to Kalisto against Enzo Amore. Amore was not scheduled to lose the Cruiserweight title at Raw. In fact, Amore was scheduled to defend the title against Kalisto at the WWE TLC pay-per-view.
I want to note that WWE has denied the story to us but there are wrestlers in the company that do believe he quit before Raw. If he did ask for his release, then he would not be able to wrestle for another company for 90 days from the day his release is granted. I should also add that, while this may or may not be related, there are people in WWE unhappy with Amore’s push. Amore continues to rub people the wrong way so, as you could imagine, his push is not sitting well with many people.
We’ll pass along updates once they are available.
There were other last-minute changes made to another match at Raw. Click here to read more.
