The match was Giulia’s first championship opportunity on the main roster and she made the most of it, ending Vega’s reign in a hard-fought contest. The victory marks a major moment for Giulia, who has been presented as a top star since signing with the company last year.
For Vega, the loss brings her first reign as Women’s United States Champion to an end. The title change took place on the go-home show for this weekend’s Night of Champions premium live event.
