Mauro Ranallo is back but it didn’t come without a little bit of heartache. With his absence came the discussion of the bullying culture in WWE and all the baggage that comes with it. Stories were told and JBL didn’t come off smelling like a sack of roses. Although Layfield is doing just fine in WWE since the scandal Mauro Ranallo hasn’t been doing too shabby himself.
Since his departure from WWE Ranallo has been all over boxing and MMA. He’s also set to announce the Connor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather fight that might in all reality become the biggest fight of all time, especially if you consider all the hype that’s sure to come out between now and August.
Nobody thought Mauro Ranallo would need to come back to WWE, but in his statement he revealed “despite originally agreeing to part ways, there was always a desire to continue working together.” So they decided Mauro would be a better fit in NXT. The Observer reports the deal was probably done a few weeks ago but it’s going public today.
This is not a demotion at all by the way. It’s actually a much better deal for the Bi-Polar Rock n Roller. Ranallo doesn’t have to make the busy SmackDown touring schedule and he can film a month of NXT shows in one night. He’ll still be free to do everything else that’s making him even more famous too like Bellator and Showtime. Plus we get Mauro Ranallo back on WWE TV. So everybody wins, especially the fans because recently there’s been more Ranallo than ever no matter where you look.
Mauro Ranallo is scheduled to jump into his role tomorrow night as NXT tapes another set of shows at Full Sail University. Not only that but because his deal was set to expire in August, WWE signed him to a new multi-year deal where he will do NXT and all TakeOver shows.
NXT has a new voice and some would say it’s the best in the business. Not only will the main roster announcers of tomorrow get to learn from one of the greatest by having Ranallo in NXT, but fans get to enjoy his amazing play-by-play once again. For generations to come people will be watching the old WWE matches of the superstars of tomorrow and it will be voiced by Mauro Ranallo. It’s exciting enough to make you wanna shout “mamma mia!”
