Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has revealed his guidelines for re-opening the state of Florida and it looks like pro wrestling will be able to welcome fans as soon as next week (Monday, May 4).
According to the guidelines, large spectator sporting events can include fans but they should adhere to social distancing guidelines and the building venue should be at 25 percent capacity.
DeSantis’ guidelines for sports state the following:
“Large spectator sporting events should use strict social distancing guidelines and limit occupancy of venues to 25 percent of building capacity.”
Basically, this means that WWE can start welcoming fans to the Performance Center next week if they choose to and AEW can welcome fans to Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida for AEW Dynamite.
We’ll see if any or both of those companies choose to adjust according to the new guidelines or if they decide to wait a while longer before welcoming fans.
This may be seen as good news for the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view, currently scheduled to air live on Saturday, May 23rd.
