New Match Added To AEW’s Three-Hour Wednesday Special

A new women’s match has been added to tonight’s special three-hour block of AEW Dynamite and Collision, as “The Megasus” Megan Bayne will go one-on-one with Harley Cameron. AEW President Tony Khan announced the match in a social media post. The match will serve as a preview for the upcoming “AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl: WrestleDream” pre-show, where the two women will be on opposite sides of a massive eight-woman tag team match.

“Harley helped Willow fight off Megan/Penelope Saturday! Before they collide at #AEWTailgateBrawl, Harley will fight the woman who broke her nose, Megan Bayne, 1-on-1 TOMORROW NIGHT!” Khan wrote in his post. The issue between Bayne and Cameron has been brewing for weeks as part of a multi-woman feud that has engulfed the division.

On this Saturday’s “Tailgate Brawl” pre-show, which will air on TNT and HBO Max before the WrestleDream pay-per-view, Harley Cameron will team with Willow Nightingale, Queen Aminata, and Mina Shirakawa to take on the team of Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, and The Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart & Skye Blue).

The addition of Bayne vs. Cameron adds another match to an already loaded card for the three-hour Wednesday night special. The show will also feature The Opps defending their AEW World Trios Championships against La Faccion Ingobernable, a six-man tag team match pitting Kenny Omega & Jurassic Express against members of the Don Callis Family, and a face-to-face confrontation between Jon Moxley and Darby Allin ahead of their “I Quit” match at WrestleDream.

Other matches on the card include a six-man tag team match between The Hurt Syndicate and The Gates of Agony, Claudio Castagnoli vs. Roderick Strong, a “Famous Last Words” segment between Kris Statlander and Toni Storm, a tag team match pitting Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia against Orange Cassidy & Kyle O’Reilly, and a one-on-one encounter between Skye Blue and former AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter.
