Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is the final stop on the road to this weekend’s massive two-night SummerSlam premium live event. A new grudge match has been added to an already stacked card live from Newark, New Jersey.
The Bloodline Civil War Continues
WWE has announced that Jimmy Uso will go one-on-one with Tama Tonga tonight. The match is the latest chapter in the ongoing civil war within the Anoa’i family.
With their Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Championship just days away, both the champion, Cody Rhodes, and the challenger, John Cena, will be live on SmackDown to make their final statements. Also scheduled to appear is musical artist Jelly Roll, who will be in the building alongside his partner Randy Orton and their opponents, Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul, for one last face-off.
Championships On The Line
Two titles will be on the line tonight. First, Giulia will defend the WWE Women’s United States Championship in a rematch against former champion Zelina Vega. Also, the reigning AAA Tag Team Champions, Los Garza (Angel & Berto), have issued an open challenge for their titles. In other action, Damian Priest is scheduled to go one-on-one with Aleister Black.
