A new match has been added to the lineup for this week’s WWE NXT just days before the brand’s next Premium Live Event. An eight-man tag team match pitting Joe Hendry, Je’Von Evans, Leon Slater, and Myles Borne against DarkState has been officially added to the show.
WWE made the announcement on social media, hyping the bout as a collision leading into the weekend. “After the events that ended Week Two of #NXTGoldRush and just days away from #NXTDeadline, get ready for a HUGE 8-Man Tag Team Match TOMORROW on #WWENXT!”
The match stems from the conclusion of last week’s episode. The final segment of NXT saw DarkState enter through the crowd after Myles Borne defeated Trick Williams to qualify for the Iron Survivor Challenge. This led to Hendry, Evans, and Slater running in to even the odds, with the show going off the air as the two sides faced off.
The dynamic of the match is particularly volatile as DarkState’s Dion Lennox is entered into the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge at Deadline along with his opponents in this match: Hendry, Evans, Slater, and Borne. This means four of the five competitors in Saturday’s high-stakes match will be teaming together to battle the fifth competitor and his faction.
In addition to this tag team bout, the show will feature a Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge summit and a segment where The Culling explains their betrayal of Tatum Paxley. The only other confirmed match for the broadcast is Josh Briggs vs. Tavion Heights. The episode will take place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando on Tuesday, December 2.
NXT Deadline is set to take place this Saturday, December 6, in San Antonio, Texas. The card will be headlined by Ricky Saints defending the NXT Championship against Oba Femi. The event will also feature the Men’s and Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge matches to determine the number one contenders for the respective titles.
