New matches announced for Wednesday’s WWE NXT

WWE has announced two new matches for this Wednesday’s episode of NXT.

On Saturday, WWE confirmed in a series of posts on Twitter that Bronson Reed vs. Shane Throne in a singles bout and NXT Champion Keith Lee vs. Cameron Grimes in a non-title match has been booked for this show.

Regarding the battle between Lee and Grimes, WWE set up this contest on this past week’s NXT episode when Grimes interrupted Lee during a promo segment where he addressed the actions of Karrion Kross. Lee laid out Grimes in the process.

Triple Threat Match (winner advances to vacant North American Title Ladder Match at TakeOver: 30):
Damian Priest vs. Oney Lorcan vs. NXT UK Superstar Ridge Holland

NXT Tag Team Championship Match:
Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner (champions) vs. Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish

#1 Contender’s Match (winner will challenge NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai:
Rhea Ripley vs. Dakota Kai

Singles Match:
Bronson Reed vs. Shane Throne

Non-Title Match:
NXT Champion Keith Lee vs. Cameron Grimes
