New matches announced for WWE WrestleMania 35, Kofi Kingston up against the odds next week

New matches were announced for WrestleMania on this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live.

The show kicked off with Shane McMahon addressing his actions at WWE Fastlane and he issued a challenge to The Miz for WrestleMania.

Later in the show, Randy Orton and AJ Styles stood face-to-face in the ring. Orton took issue with Styles saying SmackDown Live was the house that he built. Orton mentioned Styles’ time on the independent scene but Styles fired back and said Orton had help from people like Edge, Triple H and from his association with the Evolution faction. Styles proposed a match at WrestleMania but Orton did not immediately accept it but presumably, it will be made “official” next week.

At the end of the show, Vince McMahon gave Kofi Kingston a WrestleMania opportunity. On next week’s show, Kingston will need to defeat Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Cesaro, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan in a gauntlet match. If he wins then he will get his WWE Championship match at WrestleMania.

Here is the updated WrestleMania card:

WrestleMania guest host: Alexa Bliss

WWE Raw Women’s Championship – Triple Threat Match

WrestleMania 35 will take place on Sunday, April 7 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
