WWE officially unveiled the new Raw and Smackdown logos, via Mick Foley and Daniel Bryan’s twitter accounts. We first showed you the Smackdown Live logo last week after a reader sent us a screenshot from the Canadian feed from Raw.
In addition to the new logos, I’m told that they will be changing the entire look and feel of both shows. The creative teams will be separate and the whole competition aspect that they’ve been pushing on TV is real. Vince McMahon is pushing both brands so that they can compete against each other for ratings. The idea is to make Smackdown as big as Raw and there is pressure from USA Network to increase the Smackdown ratings. That’s part of the reason why Smackdown is now a live show on Tuesdays.
