In regards of Alberto Del Rio’s deal with WWE, Dave Meltzer noted on the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that Del Rio has been in talks with WWE quite some time about a return to the company but the deal was not finalized until recently.
Del Rio’s deal is described as “great” and that his scheduled is easier than the rest of the WWE roster as he will not have to work as many dates as they do.
As of this writing, Del Rio is scheduled to work through the rest of his indie dates that he has remaining.
One of the big reasons he returned to WWE was because of the money. His Lucha Underground contract was his main source of income, but after he had a falling out with the company due to “creative,” returning to WWE was his only option of making that kind of money again.
