Rhea Ripley won the WWE Raw Women’s Title by beating Asuka for it on the second night of WrestleMania 37 this past Sunday night in front of fans.
This was after her main roster debut just a few weeks earlier. This is also much different from her first WrestleMania match, which came last year when she dropped the NXT Women’s Title to Charlotte Flair in an empty Performance Center with no fans.
In an interview with TVInsider.com, Ripley commented on how people backstage reacted to her performance including Vince McMahon.
“One of the big ones was talking to Vince McMahon afterward, hearing him say ‘well done’ and that I did great. It was so surreal,” Ripley stated. “It’s a dream, and I’m living it. To have the big boss man say well done was pretty insane to me.”
Ripley also talked about the title when, the vice she got from Paul Heyman, and much more. Check out the full interview here.
