News on WrestleMania payoffs; Batista says talents are not benefiting like they should

There’s no word on complaints (if any) on the WrestleMania payoffs this year for the talent. The show still did 690,000 for regular pay-per-view so it’s still a substantial number. The 690,000 is a lot less though than what they did before the WWE Network. Batista was asked about the payoffs and said, “From the talent’s perspective, that’s a tough question because I could put myself in a politically incorrect spot. As of this moment, with the WWE Network losing money, I don’t think the talent is benefiting the way they should.” The numbers for the post-WrestleMania shows have fallen hard.

Guys like Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and Steve Austin got a flat fee for WrestleMania since they were not advertised ahead of time and were not in a match. Brock Lesnar has a guaranteed payoff and The Undertaker has a big downside guarantee which is his WrestleMania payoff.
