Next WWE Video Game Reportedly In Production

Development for the next installment in the popular WWE 2K video game series, WWE 2K26, is officially in progress. According to a report from PWInsider Elite, work has begun on the game, and some WWE Superstars are already involved in the production process.

The report notes that several WWE performers have started recording voice lines for WWE 2K26. While the specific names of the Superstars involved were not disclosed, it’s typically expected that top roster members contribute voice work for the game’s various modes.

Release Window and Predecessor

Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of 2K Games, confirmed the development of WWE 2K26 during an earnings call back in May 2025. The game is scheduled for release sometime within Take-Two’s fiscal year 2026, which spans from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026.

WWE 2K26 will follow the successful launch of WWE 2K25, which was released in March 2025. The 2K25 edition was noted for featuring the largest roster in the history of WWE video games and offered special “Bloodline” and “Deadman” editions focusing on the dominant faction and The Undertaker, respectively.

Other WWE Gaming News

In addition to the main console release, WWE gaming fans are also anticipating WWE 2K Mobile, which was announced earlier this year as coming to Netflix Games. The initial announcement suggested a Fall 2025 release, but further updates on the mobile project have not yet been provided.
