Nia Jax explains why advertised match with Dean Ambrose never happened

Back in January, WWE had Nia Jax interact with male superstars in a physical way. It all started at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view event once Jax stole R-Truth’s #30 spot in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match where she took some finishers from top stars.

Most notably during an episode of Raw in Phoenix, AZ at the Talking Stick Resort Arena Jax hit Dean Ambrose with a forearm that sent him tumbling through the ropes as he was about to leave.

There was a video advertisement featuring a contest between Jax and Ambrose at the February 22nd WWE live event in Jonesboro, Arkansas that ran locally.

While speaking with Inside The Ropes over WrestleMania weekend, Jax was asked about why the match never took place. It turns out that there was a scheduling conflict that prevented the match from happening.

“Unfortunately, my schedule was messed [up], they didn’t have my schedule right. I had Total Divas work that I had to go to, it was more like the scheduling was off and we couldn’t make it work. I don’t want to say 100% because his wife is around here somewhere, but he was scared of me. He’s the one that asked for it to be scrapped."
