Last October, Nia Jax took a couple of weeks off from WWE. There were all sorts of rumors going around on social media. One story, reported by Justin Barrasso from Sports Illustrated, claimed that Nia Jax was unhappy with her status with WWE and she decided to leave the company.
Several sites shut down that story but Jax has remained silent on the rumors until now. In an interview with PopCulture.com, she said that all of the rumors about her during that time were not true. One of the rumors claimed that The Rock advised her to leave WWE because she could lean on him for her post-wrestling career.
Jax said, “That was the craziest thing I’ve ever heard! The fact that people would think that Dwayne would ever tell me to not do something for the WWE, a place that’s actually given him his start and the reason he is on top of the world, it’s completely false and hilarious.”
So, why was she off WWE TV for a couple of weeks? Was she unhappy? Jax said, “It has nothing to do with that at all. It wasn’t something that was that big of a deal. I had actually had an injury that happened to me personally on a flight—an overhead bag fell directly on top of my head while I was on a plane. I was out of it, I was completely out of it. I’m not kidding you.”
She said that she was told to take a break until she felt better. There was nothing else to the rumors. Click here for the full interview.
