There is a note in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter on the timing for the Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
The media was told that the show would go up to 10:30 pm eastern. Well, that was the goal as of a couple of days before the show. The goal is for the “big 4” shows (Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series) to go longer than 10:30 pm.
Anyway, Money In The Bank ended around 11:20 pm eastern and the original idea was to end the show with Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax as the main event and Alexa Bliss closing out the show after cashing in her briefcase.
Obviously, that did not happen and the decision was made to close out the show with the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder match.
For whatever it’s worth, Rousey is still advertised locally for Extreme Rules so she could return early from her “suspension” on that show, perhaps, to interfere in the Jax vs. Alexa Bliss match. It’s looking like Rousey will be challenging for the Raw Women’s Championship again at SummerSlam.
