Nia Jax worked a match with Lana on a February 2021 WWE Monday Night Raw episode featuring a memorable moment that went viral on social media.
Jax took a leg drop bump on the ring apron, but when Lana moved, she landed hard and shouted, ‘My hole.’
While doing a virtual signing with K & S WrestleFest, Jax opened up on her intentions with the spot and noted that the comment was planned ahead of time. In fact, she went over it with Triple H and noted that she intended to make Triple H and Vince McMahon laugh, not to go viral.
“So, it was during the COVID era, right? ‘My hole’ was during the COVID era… We have a lot more freedom during the COVID era and I had discussed it actually with Triple H before when we were rehearsing the match and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, you want me to do a leg drop on the apron?’ And I was like, ‘My freaking butthole’s gonna…’ So it was more of a joke to pop Hunter and Vince (McMahon) in Gorilla. It was literally more to make them laugh. So when I did it, that was the intention and then when I got backstage and saw that everybody was texting me about ‘my hole’ trending, that’s not what my intention was.”
Jax recalled having a conversation with the merchandise person who was going to go through the proper channels to get a t-shirt made with the comment but needed to have it approved before releasing it. WWE didn’t want to turn it into a gimmick, so no merchandise was released.
