Asuka vs. Naomi vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Nikki A.S.H vs. Liv Morgan vs. Zelina Vega vs. Natalya vs. Tamina was booked for this year’s women’s Money in the Bank ladder match at the themed pay-per-view event in August.
Nikki won the match and cashed in the following night on Monday Night Raw by beating Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women’s Title. Nikki later dropped it to Flair at the SummerSlam PPV event in a triple threat match.
Nikki spoke with Fightful Select and revealed that she was told in the afternoon of the day she won the briefcase that she was winning the match.
She wasn’t told that same day when she would be winning the title. Instead, she was told Monday afternoon she was winning the title that night on Raw.
Nikki won the briefcase and title shortly after switching to her superhero gimmick.
