Nikki and Brie are no longer going to use the “Bella” name going forward.
The sisters have changed their social media handles to reflect the change. On Twitter, they are now known as @NikkiandBrie and they will be known as The Garcia Twins. That is obviously their real last name. The Bella Twins name is trademarked by WWE.
In addition to that, a video was posted on Nikki and Brie’s account to announce that they are relaunching their podcast under “The Nikki & Brie Show.”
The move is interesting and it’s a major sign that they are no longer working together with WWE on projects. Nikki has been critical of WWE in recent weeks. She took issue with WWE not featuring many women at the Raw 30th anniversary show in January.
In the video below, Nikki talks about the next chapter in their lives and “owning who we are and being unapologetically us and fiercely walking through that open door.”
Nikki and Brie recently visited backstage at AEW Revolution in San Francisco.
