As noted, via a story from TMZ, John Cena and Nikki Bella’s relationship is “officially” over. The news came shortly after Sunday’s season finale of Total Bellas.
“After I called off the engagement, we tried to work on our relationship to get back to where it was, and in order to move forward with our wedding. After much time and soul-searching alone and together, we have decided to officially part ways,” Bella said in a statement to People.com.
The couple split in January and that was shown on Total Bellas. On the show, they explained that there was a second split in April that was not filmed for the cameras. However, when Cena appeared on the Today show in May to make a public plea to her, that is when the speculation increased on whether or not this was a publicity stunt for ratings.
People.com was among many outlets that reported that they were back together in June. Bella, however, posted a YouTube video and claimed that they were “just friends” and they were trying to work things out.
A WWE source told us, “I don’t have much to say but take note that Nikki is the one doing most of the talking while John is going about his business in private.”
