Nikki Bella Pitched WWE Comedy Segments For Clash In Italy

Nikki Bella has revealed she pitched a series of comedy segments to WWE for Clash in Italy that the company initially liked, but that ultimately fell through, telling The Nikki & Brie Show listeners that the “Ciao Bella” concept would have featured multiple WWE superstars in scripted Italian-themed comedy bits.

The reveal came in the broader Clash in Italy aftermath discussion, with Bella walking through the specific creative pitch she developed for the European Premium Live Event.

“I at first thought I was going to be at Clash in Italy. Not obviously performing, but I pitched this incredible idea called Ciao Bella. I was like, ‘Hey, guys, I would love to do this. Whether it’s pre-show, like when we used to do those fun promo commercial things for PLE, or just make it social.'”

She walked through the specific segments.

“I’d have these different moments with WWE superstars. So like there would be a moment where I’m on the Italian scooter with Danhausen and his scarf is flying in my face. And then it cuts to having a moment with Brie and Paige and having Aperol Spritz with the Tag Team Champions. And then I’d be on a gondola ride with GUNTHER and he’s just staring straight being GUNTHER, and then the gondolier is another WWE superstar that’s either giving me the looks or he’s someone that hates GUNTHER. And then I have this other moment where Oba and I are getting gelato and trying to attempt a selfie with him, and obviously the height difference. But then Judgment Day comes and slaps our gelato out of our hands.”

“And this was my ending segment. I’m walking down the street and they keep going, ‘Ciao Bella, Ciao Bella’ because they do that in Italy. And then I take a pause and I go, ‘Oh my God, I’m like so famous here.’ But obviously it’s because they call everyone Bella, but I think it’s because I’m Nikki Bella. So it was cute and they all loved it but then fell through.”
