Nikki Garcia, aka former WWE wrestler Nikki Bella, has been in the headlines since last week when her husband, Artem Chigvintsev, was arrested for domestic battery.
Artem had called paramedics to request medical assistance for the alleged victim but then canceled it. The cops showed up, where they noticed obvious injuries on the victim’s body, and they arrested Artem.
He was booked into jail last Thursday morning on a felony domestic violence charge. Bella met Artem while partners on Dancing With The Stars in 2017. They later welcomed their first child, Matteo, in July of 2020. They’ve been married since 2022.
TMZ reported today that Nikki has been making calls since last Friday with her intention is to file to end her marriage to the former Dancing With The Stars performer. Since the incident, Nikki hasn’t been wearing her wedding ring, although she did co-host the Chestnut/Kobayashi hot dog eating contest over the weekend in Vegas.
Per the report, Artem is not staying at the family home, as he has been at a friend’s house. Nikki is living at the couple’s home with their 4-year-old son Matteo.
