Nikki Bella Reveals How Long WWE Comeback Run Was Originally Supposed To Last

Nikki Bella has revealed that her current run with WWE has extended far beyond the original agreement. The WWE Hall of Famer returned to the company earlier in 2025 and has remained a fixture on television throughout the year.

Most recently, Bella challenged Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at Survivor Series: WarGames. While she was unsuccessful in capturing the title, her presence on the card marked another chapter in a comeback that was initially intended to be short-lived.

Speaking on Outspoken with Bruce & Gaydos, Bella opened up about the timeline of her return. She explained that she felt a personal need to revisit her “Nikki Bella” persona to rediscover herself, but the engagement with the company was not meant to last this long.

‘It was the perfect time to be like, I need to find out who — I need her to be back and Nikki Bella’s the one that brings me back… It was supposed to be three months and now it’s been a year and it’s gonna go even longer and it’s been incredible. I have just loved it,’ Bella stated.

A Year of High-Profile Matches

The “year” Bella references began with a surprise return at the Royal Rumble in February 2025. Since then, she has been involved in several high-profile storylines, including feuds with Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch.

She turned heel in November 2025 leading up to her match with Vaquer. With her confirmation that the run is “gonna go even longer,” it appears the former Divas Champion will continue to be a key part of the women’s division for the foreseeable future.
