Nikki Bella has firmly shut down fan speculation that she “confirmed” a WWE Evolution 2 pay-per-view. The rumors gained traction after Nikki teased in April that “There is going to be a really big announcement that people are going to be so excited for in July,” which many fans connected to reports of WWE potentially reviving the all-women’s event this summer.
Addressing the widespread belief on “The Nikki & Brie Show,” Bella directly clarified the nature of her upcoming July reveal and how it’s about a Hollywood gig she has lined up. “I did not confirm the Evolution pay-per-view,” she stated. “The thing I was saying that I was going to be part of in July — I just need to kill this because I see it everywhere. I’m in a movie. I can’t announce it yet but it’s a movie that I’m in in July.”
She explained that she felt compelled to reveal the movie aspect due to the rampant Evolution speculation: “I didn’t want to say the movie part, but now I feel like I have to say it because everyone thinks I’m confirming Evolution.”
Nikki called it a “great character” that was “a lot of fun to play,” and added, “I can’t wait to talk about it.” Meanwhile, WWE has made no official announcements regarding if or when an Evolution 2 event might take place.
