As first noted by Pro Wrestling Sheet earlier this week, Nikki Bella has not officially been cleared to return to action in WWE.
Dave Meltzer reports that the belief is that because of her neck issues, she will only be able to wrestle part-time if she is cleared. When she returns to action, she would likely be positioned as the star of Smackdown. It’s likely that she will end up on Smackdown since that’s where her long-time boyfriend John Cena is.
Nikki was backstage at last Tuesday’s Smackdown Live in Nashville and she was training at the Performance Center with UFC fighter Shayna Baszler, Bayley and Natalya.
Nikki is also working on outside projects. One of them is birdiebee.com, described as “a pay it forward brand that represents feminine health & women’s empowerment.”
