Nikki Cross on being on the opposite brand from her husband, Alexa Bliss on helping people with body image issues and depression

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross took over this week’s episode of the “Table Talk” podcast.

They talked about Disney, Alexa’s cosplay-like ring attire, The Fiend, Nikki’s love of horror movies, Limp Bizkit songs, being the mascot of Dudleyville and more.

Here are a couple of highlights from the podcast:

Alexa Bliss was asked “You helped a lot with body image and depression.  How does it feel when people admit that you changed their life?”:  “That always is amazing because when someone struggles with any kind of mental issue, whether it’s anxiety or depression or body image, it’s hard to share that story with someone.  I had dealt with mine for about 8 years after I even talked about it.  The fact that people feel comfortable telling me about their issues they struggled with and their obstacles they have overcome, makes it worth sharing my story because I was never going to talk about it.  It wasn’t even a thing I was going to bring up.  I’m so glad that I did because the amount of people that have reached out and said, hey, I dealt with this too and because of your story, it has helped me.  That is what I wish I had when I was going through that in the hospital when I was seeing psychiatrists and psychologists and all these different doctors.  I wish I had someone that I could look up to and say hey, they went through this and they didn’t let it define them and they came out on the other end ok.  That’s all I really want to be for people is someone to show you that you can get through it.  It’s not going to be easy, but you can do it.”

Nikki Cross was asked if it is hard for her and her husband to wrestle on different brands?:  “No.  When we met, we met in wrestling 12 years ago when we started to train in wrestling school.  For us, we are both grateful we work for WWE.  We understood that when it came to business, some sacrifices are going to be made.  It’s always something we knew could be a reality and we were grateful for the time we worked in NXT together.  We are both happy for each other.  We make sure we make the most of the time we have together.”

D-Von Dudley:  “I said this before.  I said it with Alexa and I will say it with Nikki.  My two favorites are Nikki and Alexa.  We are very good friends in and out of the ring.”
