Noelle Foley details her battle with concussion issues over the last 2 years

Noelle Foley, daughter of WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley, has battled concussion issues over the past few years. It happened when she was riding on a roller coaster.

Foley went to a specialist regarding the injury and was diagnosed with a rare hearing disorder along with Post Concussion Syndrome and Tinnitus. Before the injury, she had been doing some training at the WWE Performance Center and at the New York Wrestling Connection in Long Island, NY.

Foley took to Instagram to share her struggles by writing the following:

“Last week marked 2 years since my concussion. Little did I know, it would change my life completely, and what feels like, forever. ⁣It has been an extremely difficult two years with many obstacles, hurdles, and setbacks… with setbacks being the hardest to deal with, both physically and mentally. ⁣

Today is also #NationalConcussionAwarenessDay. There is still SO much to learn about concussions and how to properly treat a concussion. In the last few years alone, concussion protocols have changed. I’m hoping in the near future, more research is done on how to properly treat concussions and prevent ongoing persistent concussion symptoms. Anybody going through PCS knows how detrimental it can be to one’s life. ⁣

It can also be very difficult to deal with an invisible illness because you look fine on the outside, but are nowhere close to fine on the inside. Sometimes it can be difficult for the people around you to understand that you’re struggling even though you physically look normal from the outside. ⁣

To anyone struggling out there, whether it be from a concussion, an injury, or mental health, PLEASE remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we will eventually get there! We got this.”
